About Ariana
Ariana is the French and international spelling of the governorate capital in the northern Tunis metropolitan area of Tunisia, immediately adjacent to central Tunis. About 115,000 people live in the city proper, which has grown into one of the most desirable middle-class residential destinations in the Tunis metro thanks to neighborhoods like Ennasr, Borj Louzir, and Riadh Andalous. The local economy combines university campuses (Carthage and Manouba), service-sector employment, and commuter labor into central Tunis. Arabic is the working language and French is dominant in business and education. The Mediterranean climate brings hot dry summers and mild wet winters. For relocators, the practical considerations are the heavy peak-hour traffic into Tunis along the X20 and A1, recurring water restrictions during summer drought conditions, and Tunisia's residency pathways for foreign professionals.
