Banqiao is the most populous district of New Taipei City, Taiwan, functioning as the de facto western anchor of the greater Taipei metropolitan area rather than a freestanding city. It hosts the New Taipei City government headquarters and Banqiao Station, a major interchange for high-speed rail, Taiwan Railways, and Taipei Metro, putting central Taipei roughly 15 minutes away.
