About Kyengera
Kyengera is a town on the western edge of Kampala, Uganda, located along the Kampala-Masaka Highway in Wakiso District. It functions as a fast-growing residential and trading suburb of the capital rather than an independent center, with the local economy oriented around small commerce, transport, and informal-sector services tied to Kampala's labor market. The climate is tropical highland, mild and damp year-round at roughly 1,200 meters, with two rainy seasons. For relocation, Kyengera's draw is practical: housing prices below central Kampala, direct matatu and boda routes into the city, English as an official language alongside Luganda, and proximity to Entebbe International Airport via the new Kampala-Entebbe Expressway.
