Why this quality rating

Kenya has a strong curriculum framework (CBC) and notable pockets of excellence in urban private and international schools, but public school quality varies widely between Nairobi and rural areas. Kenya does not participate in PISA.

Why the expat-access rating looks like this

Resident expat families can technically use public schools, which teach in English and Swahili. In practice most expat families in Nairobi use the large international school ecosystem.

βœ… Homeschooling

Legal, growing community

Kenya allows homeschooling with relatively few restrictions. The Constitution guarantees the right to education, and parents can choose how to deliver it. KNEC exams are available for certification. Growing homeschool and worldschool community in Nairobi.

Healthcare

System strength, outcome signals, facility coverage, and self-pay visibility in Kenya.

Sparse pricing does not imply sparse healthcare availability.

About Naivasha

Naivasha sits in Nakuru County in central Kenya, on the shore of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley roughly 90 kilometers northwest of Nairobi. With roughly 198,444 residents, the town anchors Kenya's commercial flower-export industry, with the surrounding lakeshore home to many of the large greenhouse operations that supply European supermarkets through Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta Airport. Geothermal power generation at the nearby Olkaria field and growing domestic tourism round out the local economy. For relocation purposes Naivasha is increasingly used as a weekend-and-remote-work satellite of Nairobi: English and Swahili are both widely used, the climate is mild rift-valley highlands with cooler temperatures than the coastal lowlands, and the Nairobi–Naivasha SGR rail link plus the upgraded highway shorten the commute.
