Why this quality rating
Bangladesh has a large public system with meaningful variation between urban and rural schools. Dhaka has far stronger private and international options than the state system for families wanting predictable English-friendly schooling.
Why the expat-access rating looks like this
Resident foreign families may be able to enroll, but Bangla-medium instruction and uneven infrastructure make the public route difficult for most internationally mobile households.
❓ Homeschooling
Not specifically regulatedBangladesh requires compulsory primary education but does not have a specific homeschooling framework. Many expat families in Dhaka homeschool through accredited foreign programs without interference. No formal registration or approval process exists.

About Gazipur
Gazipur is the second-largest city in Bangladesh and effectively a northern industrial extension of the Dhaka metropolitan region, anchored by ready-made-garment factories that supply much of the country's apparel-export economy. The Dhaka-Mymensingh highway and the partially operational MRT Line 6 extension shape the commuter geometry into central Dhaka. Relocators here are almost always tied to garment-sector sourcing, factory management, or compliance auditing for international buyers. Costs are substantially below central Dhaka, but air quality during the November-to-March dry season is among the worst in South Asia, and traffic on the highway corridor is a chronic productivity drain. Bangla is essential for any factory-floor work; English functions in management and buyer-facing roles. The climate is tropical monsoon with a defined wet season from June through September.
