About Jebel Ali
Jebel Ali sits in the southwestern part of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, about 35 kilometers southwest of the central city. The community of about 210,000 is built around two anchors that shape its character: the Port of Jebel Ali, the largest container port in the Middle East and one of the busiest in the world, and the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), which hosts thousands of multinational firms operating under the UAE's free-zone tax and ownership regime. The desert climate brings extremely hot summers exceeding 45Β°C with high humidity near the coast, and mild winters. English is the de facto working language alongside Arabic. Jebel Ali offers cheaper housing than central Dubai paired with direct proximity to port and free-zone employment, making it a practical base for logistics, shipping, and trade-zone professionals.
