About Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina is a planned high-rise waterfront district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, set along a three-kilometer artificial canal cut inland from the Persian Gulf in the Marsa Dubai area. Built out from the mid-2000s by Emaar Properties, the district is among the densest residential high-rise environments in the world, with a skyline that includes the Princess Tower and Cayan Tower. The local economy is dominated by hospitality, retail, and services for a heavily expatriate resident base drawn from across South Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and increasingly Russia. Dubai Metro Red Line, Dubai Tram, and the Sheikh Zayed Road place Downtown Dubai and the airport within thirty to forty minutes. Climate is hot desert, moderated at the marina by sea breezes. English is the lingua franca.
