Using curated quality notes for now.

Why this quality rating

Senegal has a real public-school system, but quality is uneven and the public path is still a French-medium local-integration choice rather than the obvious default for most expat families.

Why the expat-access rating looks like this

Resident families can in principle use public schools, but French-medium instruction and uneven school quality make the public route situational for relocating households.

About Rufisque est

Rufisque Est is an administrative district in the eastern part of Rufisque, a city in the Dakar Region of Senegal sitting on the Atlantic coast roughly 25 kilometers east of central Dakar. The wider Rufisque area has been progressively absorbed into the Dakar metropolitan periphery as one of the principal corridors for the capital's outward expansion, with a mix of residential development, port-adjacent industrial activity, and a substantial fishing community. The Diamniadio satellite city under construction farther east is reshaping the broader corridor. French is the official language with Wolof as the everyday lingua franca. The climate is tropical with a hot dry season most of the year and a brief intense wet season from July through October. Commuter rail and BRT lines under development are progressively improving the connection to central Dakar.
