About Ciampea, Java
Ciampea is a kecamatan in Bogor Regency in West Java, Indonesia, with about 207,000 residents, lying just west of the city of Bogor and roughly 60 kilometers south of central Jakarta. It is a peri-urban area rather than an independent city, with land use that mixes rice paddies, IPB University's research farms, small-scale manufacturing, and dense kampung housing that absorbs Jakarta-bound commuters. Bahasa Indonesia is universal, with Sundanese dominant in daily speech. The climate is tropical with high humidity, mild temperatures moderated by the foothills of the Halimun Salak range, and one of the highest rainfall totals in Java. Connections to Jakarta run through Bogor on the KRL Commuterline, with peak-time travel of two hours or more, or by the Jagorawi toll road; chronic congestion is the dominant relocation constraint.
