Why this quality rating
The Netherlands has a strong public-school system and a real resident-schooling path, especially for families staying long enough to integrate.
Why the expat-access rating looks like this
Resident families can generally enroll, and newcomer support exists in some places, but the long-term public path still depends on Dutch.
โ ๏ธ Homeschooling
Legal with strict exemptions onlyDutch law requires school attendance. Exemptions exist for religious/philosophical objections (Article 5a) or if no suitable school exists within travel distance. Lifestyle or pedagogical preference is not sufficient grounds. Most worldschooling families cannot legally homeschool in the Netherlands.

Healthcare
System strength, outcome signals, facility coverage, and self-pay visibility in Netherlands.
Method: country metrics come from public system indicators, facility coverage reflects mapped providers we can inventory, direct pricing only reflects observed self-pay pages, and relative care cost can fall back to broad cost-of-living healthcare indices. Sparse pricing does not imply sparse healthcare availability.

About Eindhoven
Eindhoven sits in the southern Netherlands in North Brabant province, roughly 120 kilometers southeast of Amsterdam. The city of around 236,000 has reinvented itself from the company town of Philips into the heart of the Brainport Eindhoven cluster, anchored by ASML (the world's only producer of EUV lithography machines essential to advanced chip manufacturing) plus NXP, Philips, and the High Tech Campus that hosts more than 200 R&D companies. English is the working language in much of the tech sector, with Dutch dominant otherwise. The climate is oceanic, cool and wet. Eindhoven Airport handles substantial low-cost European traffic, and intercity rail puts Amsterdam Schiphol within roughly 90 minutes. Relocation interest centers heavily on semiconductor and photonics engineering roles, with an international community larger than the city's size would suggest.
