About Şabāḩ as Sālim

Sabah as Salim is a residential district in Kuwait's Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, in the southern part of the Kuwait City metropolitan area inland from the coastal Salmiya and Salwa neighborhoods. It is overwhelmingly a planned residential area built around single-family housing blocks for Kuwaiti families and apartment buildings that house a large share of the South Asian and Arab expatriate workforce. The local economy is essentially residential support, with small commercial strips and government services rather than industry; most workers commute toward central Kuwait City along the King Faisal expressway. For foreign relocators, housing in Sabah as Salim is markedly cheaper than the upmarket Salmiya–Salwa coast. Climate is hot desert with extreme summer heat and brief mild winters.
