Why this quality rating

Cote d'Ivoire has a functioning public system, but it is not usually the default schooling path for expat families seeking predictable quality and support.

Why the expat-access rating looks like this

Resident enrollment may be possible, but French-medium instruction and uneven school quality make the public route a difficult expat option.

❓ Homeschooling

Not specifically addressed

About Divo

Divo sits in south-central Cote d'Ivoire, in the country's main cocoa- and coffee-producing belt, and functions as a regional commercial centre for the surrounding agricultural area. The city's economy has historically been driven by cocoa trade, with timber and food processing adding secondary employment. For relocators, Divo is firmly a domestic Ivorian city rather than an expatriate destination, with French as the working language and Dioula widely used in trade. The climate is tropical with two wet seasons and significant humidity year-round. Road links to Abidjan, roughly 200 kilometres southeast, are the practical lifeline for goods and longer-distance travel, though seasonal road quality varies meaningfully.
