About Bangkok Noi
Bangkok Noi is a khet (district) on the Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand, directly opposite the historic Rattanakosin royal quarter. It is not a separate city but a dense, lower-rise residential and canal-side district that takes its name from the Bangkok Noi canal, once a main course of the river. The area hosts Siriraj Hospital, Thailand's oldest medical school, and is served by the MRT Blue Line extension at Bang Khun Non and Charan 13. Rents typically run a quarter to a third below Sukhumvit at comparable transit access. The tropical monsoon climate is the same as the rest of the city, with humidity above 70 percent most of the year.
