Why this quality rating
Thailand’s public system is not the path most expat families choose, especially if they want English-medium schooling.
Why the expat-access rating looks like this
Some resident families can use local public schools, but Thai-medium instruction makes it a hard fit unless the family wants full local immersion.

Legal with registrationHomeschooling has been legal since the National Education Act of 1999. Families must register with the local education service area office and submit a learning plan. Healthcare
System strength, outcome signals, facility coverage, and self-pay visibility in Thailand.
Method: country metrics come from public system indicators, facility coverage reflects mapped providers we can inventory, direct pricing only reflects observed self-pay pages, and relative care cost can fall back to broad cost-of-living healthcare indices. Sparse pricing does not imply sparse healthcare availability.

About Chon Buri
Chon Buri is the capital of Chonburi Province in eastern Thailand, sitting on the eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand roughly 80 kilometers southeast of Bangkok. The city itself is smaller and quieter than its better-known neighbor Pattaya 40 kilometers further south, and serves more as an administrative and industrial center than a tourist destination. The wider Chonburi-Rayong corridor forms the core of Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor, hosting the country's largest concentration of automotive assembly plants including Toyota, Honda, Ford, and Mitsubishi, alongside petrochemical complexes and the deep-sea port of Laem Chabang. Thai is universal with English used in industrial and tourism settings. The climate is tropical with a wet southwest monsoon from May through October. The Bangkok-Chonburi motorway puts Bangkok within an hour by road, with Suvarnabhumi Airport similarly accessible.
