Bang Khae is a district on the western edge of Bangkok, Thailand, on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River. It is one of Bangkok's outer residential districts, dominated by high-rise condominium development, large shopping complexes like The Mall Bang Khae, and a major bus terminal serving routes to western and southern Thailand. The MRT Blue Line extension now connects Bang Khae directly into central Bangkok's rail network, putting Silom and Sukhumvit within 45 to 60 minutes.
