About Coacalco
Coacalco, formally Coacalco de Berriozabal, is a municipality in the State of Mexico, located in the northeastern part of the Valley of Mexico Metropolitan Area about 25 kilometers north of central Mexico City. It is a dense residential and commercial periphery of the capital, dominated by the Via Morelos corridor and large retail anchors like Plaza Las Americas, with commuter ties to northern Mexico City and Ecatepec employment centers. The climate is subtropical highland at roughly 2,260 meters elevation, mild and dry most of the year with a summer rainy season. For relocation, Coacalco's draw is housing prices well below central CDMX, federal highway and Mexibus access, and Spanish as the working language.
