About Wādī as Sīr
Wādī as Sīr is a western district of Amman, the capital of Jordan, sitting in a valley on the edge of the metropolitan area along the road toward the Dead Sea. Once a distinct village with Circassian roots from late-Ottoman resettlement, it has been absorbed into Greater Amman as the city expanded westward, and today functions as a mixed residential and light-industrial zone within the Greater Amman Municipality. Arabic is the working language, with English widely used in business and education. For relocation, the practical context is a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with cool, wet winters and hot, dry summers, full integration into Amman's services and labor market, and lower housing costs than the central Abdoun and Sweifieh districts.
