Denton is a city in the northern Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex of Texas, United States, sitting at the head of the Metroplex about 60 kilometers north of downtown Dallas at the convergence of Interstates 35E and 35W. Its roughly 131,000 residents live in a college town whose economy is anchored by the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University, which together enroll over 50,000 students, alongside manufacturing, distribution, and a notable independent music scene.
