Why this quality rating
Turkey's public schools can work for local families, but expat fit is weaker and the public path is not usually the obvious choice when alternatives exist.
Why the expat-access rating looks like this
Resident enrollment is possible, but Turkish-medium instruction and uneven school quality make the public route hard for most foreign families.
🚫 Homeschooling
Homeschooling not legalTurkey requires compulsory school attendance. Homeschooling is not permitted under current law. Foreign residents are technically subject to the same rules, though enforcement varies for non-citizens.

About Beylikdüzü
Beylikduzu is a planned western district of Istanbul, Turkey, on the Sea of Marmara coast about 40 kilometers from the historic center. It grew from farmland into one of the metropolitan area's most rapidly built-out residential zones in the 2000s and 2010s, dominated by mid- and high-rise apartment complexes rather than traditional Istanbul fabric. The Metrobus bus-rapid-transit line connects the district to Mecidiyekoy in roughly an hour, and Istanbul Airport is about 45 minutes by road. Climate is Mediterranean-influenced, with mild wet winters and hot dry summers moderated by sea breezes. Turkish is dominant, with English usage rising among newer residents and the international student population. Per-square-meter housing costs sit well below Besiktas or Kadikoy while delivering newer construction and parking.
