About Lusail
Lusail sits on the coast in Qatar, roughly 23 kilometers north of central Doha as a planned city developed from open desert beginning in the mid-2000s. With roughly 198,600 residents and growing rapidly, Lusail anchors Qatar's post-World Cup urban development push, having hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup final at Lusail Stadium and now functioning as a master-planned mixed-use district with the Lusail Marina, several free zones, and the QFC-affiliated business towers. For relocation purposes Lusail represents Qatar's most aggressive expat-oriented residential development: Arabic and English both work in professional life, the Doha Metro Red Line connects Lusail to central Doha and Hamad International Airport, the climate is extremely hot in summer with humidity along the Gulf coast, and housing options skew toward modern high-rise apartments.
