About Saaba

Saaba is a commune in Kadiogo Province in Burkina Faso, sitting on the eastern edge of Ouagadougou and functioning effectively as a residential suburb of the capital. The town's growth has been driven primarily by spillover from Ouagadougou as land in the capital itself has become scarce and expensive. For relocators, Saaba is firmly a domestic Burkinabe destination rather than an expatriate one, with French as the working language and Moore and other local languages used informally. The climate is hot semi-arid with a single distinct wet season from June through September. Security conditions across Burkina Faso have been significantly disrupted since the late 2010s by armed groups operating in the country's north and east.
