Healthcare

System strength, outcome signals, facility coverage, and self-pay visibility in Australia.

Method: country metrics come from public system indicators, facility coverage reflects mapped providers we can inventory, direct pricing only reflects observed self-pay pages, and relative care cost can fall back to broad cost-of-living healthcare indices. Sparse pricing does not imply sparse healthcare availability.

About Wollongong

Wollongong is a coastal city in New South Wales, Australia, situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Illawarra escarpment about 85 kilometers south of Sydney. It hosts Port Kembla, one of the country's largest deep-water ports and home to the BlueScope Steel works that long defined the local economy, alongside the University of Wollongong, which has shifted the workforce toward research, IT, and health. The climate is humid subtropical, mild year-round with warm wet summers. For relocation, Wollongong offers direct Sydney Trains commuter service to Sydney's CBD in roughly 90 minutes, ocean and rainforest access within minutes, and housing prices materially below Sydney, which has drawn steady migration from the metropolis.
