Why the expat-access rating looks like this

Resident families can generally enroll in state schools, but catchment, available places, and local council assignment still matter.

About Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton is a West Midlands city in the United Kingdom of about 263,700 people, sitting at the northwestern edge of the Birmingham conurbation. It grew on metalworking, lock-making and automotive supply, and the surrounding Black Country still hosts engineering and logistics employers, though service jobs now dominate. The city is on the West Coast Main Line, putting London Euston roughly two hours away and Birmingham New Street under twenty minutes, with the West Midlands Metro tram extending into the centre. Housing is markedly cheaper than in Birmingham or the South East, the NHS is the default healthcare path, and the University of Wolverhampton draws a large international student community.
